We offer SMS relay, to keep your phone number private and to reduce 3rd party harvesting and spam.
Account information is password-protected. Alway keep your password private.
Serendipity Sense, or people who may send you SMS messages via our relay, may provide links to third party websites, which may have different privacy practices. We are not responsible for, nor have any control over, the privacy policies of those third party websites, and encourage all users to read the privacy policies of each and every website visited.
Children's Privacy Commitment
We do not knowingly collect or maintain personally identifiable information or non-personally-identifiable information on Serendipity Sense from persons under 18 years of age. No part of Serendipity Sense is intended to be used by persons under 18 years of age. If you are under 18 years of age, you are not eligible to use our services and please do not use or access Serendipity Sense at any time or in any manner. If we learn that personally identifiable information of persons under 18 years of age has been collected on Serendipity Sense, then we will take the appropriate steps to delete such information.
Information Collection
When you register to use Serendipity Sense you will be asked for some general identifying information which will enable us to provide you with individualized service. Once you have registered, you will be given the option of creating a pseudonymous profile (screen name and personal description) within our community where your gender and preferences are applicable. We collect demographic information (e.g. age, gender, etc.). You will be asked for some personal but non-identifying information to complete your profile. This information is not linked in any way to your personally identifiable information, for other members to see. Obviously, if you provide us with a photograph (that you may choose to share with other users) your information may become personally identifiable information. For premium accounts, we need to collect payment information. This information is not stored at Serendipity Sense, but with PayPal. We do not have access to your financial information or keep it in any form.
Information Usage
We may use your information to send you service updates, timely notices of promotions and/or other status updates to your mobile phone and/or email. We reserve the right to use your contact information at any time to advise you of any updates that may materially affect your rights or status on our services.
Your non-personally identifying information uploaded by you to complete your profile and your photo allow other members to find you through a search, allow other users to communicate with you, allow us to forward you further search results. Serendipity Sense will send your non-personally identifiable information only to other users who may want to communicate with you.
Your photo (if you choose to post one) can be viewed by users that you you explicitly allow only. Your information and communication with other users of the services will be saved and stored in the interest of safety and security of all users of the services.
Serendipty Sense may disclose information about its users if required to do so by law or in the good faith belief that such disclosure is reasonably necessary to respond to subpoenas, court orders, or other legal process.
Serendipity Sense may also disclose information about its users to law enforcement officers or others, in the good faith belief that such disclosure is reasonably necessary to: enforce our Terms of Use; respond to claims that any posting or other content violates the rights of third-parties; or protect the rights, property, or personal safety of Serendipity Sense, its users or the general public.
Although Serendipity Sense makes use of up-to-date technology in order to protect your photo from being copied or captured by unauthorized third parties, please keep in mind that we cannot ensure complete protection. By use of the services you are responsible for acquiring and owning all rights and licenses to any photos uploaded by you and agree Serendipity Sense has full rights to publish and/or distribute such photos.
Information Storage
Serendipity Sense keeps the information you have given us for as long as you are a user of the service or for as long as we are required to do so by law, which ever is longer.
Communication Monitoring
Serendipty Sense users communicate with each other through text messages. While Serendipity Sense does not, as a rule, moderate or monitor users' private exchanges, Serendipity Sense reserves the right to do so if we suspect users of being under 18 or of using our service for the purpose of solicitation or any other violation of our Terms of Use or Privacy Policy. Serendipity Sense reserves the right to edit, delete, remove or not use any communication.
International Usage
By visiting the Serendipity Sense web site and providing us with data, you acknowledge and agree that due to the international dimension of Serendipity Sense we may use the data collected in the course of our relationship for the purposes identified in this policy or in our other communications with you, including the transmission of information outside your resident jurisdiction. In addition, please understand that such data may be stored on servers located in the United States. By providing us with your data, you consent to the transfer of such data.
